Energoatom has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Canada’s Cameco

Ukraine’s state-owned atomic energy giant Energoatom has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Canada’s Cameco Corporation during a 21 August ceremony in Canada. In line with the memorandum, the two parties will now explore opportunities to develop cooperation in the supply and production of nuclear fuel and related items using technologies developed by Cameco. Canadian company Cameco ranks among the three biggest uranium producers in the world, with uranium mines and plants in Canada and the US along with a majority state in a joint venture with Kazatomprom in Kazakhstan.
