Damages caused to Kharkiv as result of russian aggression amount to USD 10bn – Mayor

This year, Kharkiv plans to restore 57 schools and 157 high-rise buildings damaged as a result of hostilities, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in a statement.

“In 2024, we aim to restore 57 schools that were damaged to one degree or another, and another 157 multi-story buildings,” Terekhov said. According to him, as a result of russian armed aggression in the city, 65% of health care facilities, 56% of educational facilities and 35% of cultural facilities were damaged.

Terekhov noted that the total damage caused to Kharkiv, taking into account the recent enemy strikes, amounts to USD 10bn.
