Conflict-related sexual violence remains one of the gravest crimes committed in modern warfare. It has been widely documented as part of russia’s war against Ukraine.
The UN has verified 310 cases of conflict-related sexual violence, despite russian restrictions on international investigators. According to monitoring findings, the majority of victims are men, including Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilian detainees. Accountability for these crimes must be ensured.
