Give us Ukraine – and you will live. Big Brother is watching you

Yesterday in Prague I gave six (!) interviews in one day, and in each one I tried to squeeze in the same thesis (and before that I was pounding the same point in Poland). Since, glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the plan for the russian summer offensive (with the capture of Sviatohirsk, then Sloviansk with Kramatorsk and onward everywhere, surrender khokhol, give us milk-eggs-girls!) has irrevocably failed, now the main target of the russian offensive will become the European Union, writes Oksana Zabuzhko, a Ukrainian novelist, poet, and essayist.

As an infamous Dugin has already managed to formulate in these very days, “let us say to Europe: give us Ukraine – and you will live.”

So here’s the thing, my dear European readers, I tirelessly repeat, remember that everything is exactly the opposite: if you give them Ukraine – you will be dead: with Ukrainians mobilized into the ranks of the russian army, as has happened over the past 200 years (and moreover mortally offended at you for betrayal!), the russian army will truly become that “invincible” force they frighten you with, and it is precisely for this – human – resource that the war is being waged: on whose side Ukrainians will fight – the best warriors of Europe – will decide the fate of Europe.

So now, after losing on the Donetsk front, the russian Federation is forced to shake the “weak link” with all its might – the “European” front, by its two main and customary methods: terror-blackmail (armed provocations) + a massive propaganda attack. Prepare yourselves, because you must withstand it.

…And in the evening Sofi Oksanen (she also came here for the FALL festival; her “Same River, Twice” has just come out in Czech, and if you haven’t read it in Ukrainian yet, hurry up!) told me that in Finland the attack on “decision-makers” began back in the summer, and it was quite direct: using KGB technologies employed in the 1970s against dissidents, about 25 of the most actively pro-Ukrainian members of the Finnish parliament have already had “secret visitors”: you come home – and in the house (for example) the lights are on, your eyeshadows have been taken out of the drawers and laid out on the carpet in a figure, or your underwear has been taken out of the wardrobe and hung up in some especially mocking way – an old intimidation technique, “Big Brother is watching you”…

So MP Goncharenko doesn’t have the dirtiest job in this campaign – all sorts of “specialists” are being brought in. (And then they are disposed of, like Tanya Montyan, but for some reason each one believes to the end that it will pass him by.)

Keep the line, said one good man.
