Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 42 F-16 fighter jets will be donated to Ukraine.

“I thank @MinPres Mark Rutte, his entire team, and the Dutch people for the decision on F-16s for Ukraine. Our warriors will receive 42 great combat aircraft,” Zelensky said in a post on a social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Denmark and the Netherlands will donate F16 aircraft to Ukraine. The fighter planes have long been in demand by Ukraine and must, among other things, contribute to Ukraine being able to defend its airspace against russia’s illegal aggression,” Denmark’s Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
