Ukraine needs more western weapons and munitions – intelligence
Ukraine’s deputy head of military intelligence Vadym Skibitsky stresses that it’s an artillery war now, and Ukraine is losing against russia on the frontline, therefore, needs more weapons from the West, writes theguardian.com.
The frontlines were now where the future would be decided, he emphasized.
Skibitsky noted that Ukraine has one artillery piece to 10 to 15 russian artillery pieces, and the country solely relies on weapons from the West.According to Skibitsky, Ukraine uses 5,000 to 6,000 artillery rounds daily and “almost used up all of [artillery] ammunition.”
Skibitsky stressed that the West must supply Ukraine with long-range rocket systems to destroy the russian artillery pieces from afar.
Skibitsky says that the conflict will remain predominantly an artillery war in the near future.
According to the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers are dying at war each day, and a further 500 are being injured.
