Earlier, the russian edition of Izvestiya reported that moscow was ready to stop the special operation back in March during negotiations between delegations in Antalya.

“Then Ukraine itself offered a neutral status and security guarantees without including Donbas and Crimea in them. Vladimir putin was ready to take this step, but the West pressed Ukraine, and therefore Kyiv withdrew its offer,” the russian media wrote.

The speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called this message “an outright lie” and stressed that at that time in Antalya Kuleba raised only one issue – the opening of humanitarian corridors.

“This is another russian propaganda stunt. The russian Federation is preparing the basis for further illegal assimilation of the captured areas in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, coming up with an excuse to continue the war against Ukraine,” Nikolenko notes.
