As a result of the russian strikes in Ukraine, more than 200 schools were destroyed, 1,600 were damaged, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andriy Stashkiv said in a statement.

“If we talk about the destroyed educational infrastructure in Ukraine as a whole, more than 200 schools were destroyed, and more than 1,600 schools were damaged. If we translate this into relative figures, then every seventh school in Ukraine was damaged. And this has led to the lack of children’s access to education,” he said.

According to Stashkiv, at this moment in Ukraine, about 900,000 children are studying remotely. “They cannot attend schools, they have to study using remote technologies. And in the conditions of war, this is actually a challenge for both teachers and students,” the official added.
