The US Army will provide one of its only two ‘Spot’ robotic dogs to help the international demining organization the Halo Trust demine Ukraine, foreignpolicy.com reported.

HALO Trust will use a Boston Dynamics-made robot to remove cluster munitions and mortar shells in the areas near the capital of Kyiv, the group’s executive director Chris Whatley was cited as saying.

Spot will help move unexploded munitions to detonate them safely, and without endangering any of the 10 HALO teams that were deployed to Bucha and Brovary, according to the report.

Robodog could also help locate and remove russian POM-3 anti-personnel mines, which can be allegedly triggered from nearly 70 feet away, the report said.
