NASA rebukes russia for using space station to spread propaganda

NASA condemned russian space agency Roscosmos after it published a photo of three cosmonauts holding flags associated with the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic (regions in eastern Ukraine occupied by russia).
“NASA strongly rebukes russia using the International Space Station for political purposes to support its war against Ukraine, which is fundamentally inconsistent with the station’s primary function among the 15 international participating countries to advance science and develop technology for peaceful purposes,” the agency said in a statement sent to reporters, spacenews.com reports.
The flags were displayed to mark the russian occupation of Lysychansk, the city in the Luhansk region in Ukraine. As reported, after heavy battles for the city, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to withdraw from their positions and defended frontiers.
