Locals say russian drones crossed into Romania, Ministry of Defense denies information

Tudor Cernega, the mayor of the Ceatalchioi commune, near Tulcea, told digi24.ro about the terrifying moments that the locals went through on Wednesday morning, after the drone attack on the port of Izmail.

“The locals confirm several times that the drones passed in a straight line over the houses in Ceatalchioi. The fear is very great,” Cernega said.

“A team of specialists from the Romanian Air Force went to the site to investigate the reported situation. Up to this moment, no concrete elements have been identified to prove the reports. The drones used by the russian Federation in these illegal and unjustified attacks did not cross Romania’s airspace at any time,” Romania’s Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
