Hague Tribunal

russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said he was “lucky” to work alongside former Yugoslav leaders who were accused of war crimes. He spoke about this at the Territory of Meanings forum, liga.net reported.

The russian minister spoke about the alleged “internal decay” of Yugoslavia, because of which the state collapsed. “Unfortunately, I witnessed many such things, starting from Serbia, or the former Yugoslavia. With many leaders who later ended up in the Hague Tribunal, I will not hide, I was lucky to work with them, to interact. This is Milosevic , Karadzic, General Mladic,” Shoigu said.

The Hague Tribunal for Yugoslavia became the first international body after the Nuremberg Tribunal and the International Military Tribunal for the Far East to try cases of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
