Elders of the Dzhankoi district in the temporarily occupied Crimea recorded a video to call “law enforcements” to stop abducting and torturing people on the peninsula. They also expressed outrage at the detention of activist Nariman Ametov.

“We are outraged by such actions of law enforcement agencies. We demand to stop the persecution of our compatriots, to stop bullying them, to stop torture, ”Refat Yakubov said.

Seidamet Dyulgerov added that Ametov’s abduction and torture show that they want to not only brand Crimean Tatars as terrorists and extremists, but also look for those who will testify in court.

Yakubov noted that “Crimean Tatars are outraged by such actions of russian state.”
