There is a high probability that the self-proclaimed government of Belarus will decide to go to war with Ukraine on the side of russia, ukrinform.net reported.

“From reliable sources, we report that it is very likely that the self-proclaimed government of the Republic of Belarus (RB) will decide in the next few hours on the participation of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war waged by the russian Federation against Ukraine. This will mean the involvement of forces and means of the Belarus army against our defense forces. The only reason for such a decision would be that Mr Lukashenko is completely dependent, including in matters of his own security, on putin,” former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Zahorodniuk said.

He noted that such a decision does not take into account peace and friendship between the peoples of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus, which have lasted for centuries.

“Belarusians and Ukrainians have never fought against one another throughout history. We are fraternal nations and cannot fight against each other. If this decision is made and implemented, it will be another tragedy of historical proportions in the hands of putin and Lukashenko. But we kill any occupier. Therefore, let’s do everything possible so that, despite the madness of the putin regime, Belarusians and Ukrainians remain brotherly peoples,” Zahorodniuk said.

He also drew attention to the fact that the Belarus military may not understand where they are heading, their television is full of propaganda about some imaginary “Nazis,” they may not be explained the tasks and they may not understand much of what is happening. They may not be aware of the mad losses russians are suffering here.

Zahorodniuk urged Ukrainians to make phone calls, write their acquaintances in Belarus, and ask them not to go to war against Ukrainians.

The report has just emerged that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call with the self-proclaimed President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko. Details are yet to be reported.
