Who is in bed with whom that IISS is disseminating kremlin lies?

The British think tank, The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) has gone full kremlin propaganda mode and marked Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine as part of russia in its journal, “Survival: Global Politics and Strategy” December 2019–January 2020 ed., writes Ariana Gic, Canadian independent political and legal analyst.

On the IISS “About” page, they state that the “IISS generates facts, produces analysis and exerts influence”. They most certainly do “generate facts” – i.e. LIE, because the truth and reality are that Crimea is Ukraine. It is internationally recognized, including by the UN, as Ukraine.

We should be asking why the IISS is pretending russia’s unlawful occupation of Crimea changes the Ukrainian peninsula’s status to moscow’s preference and benefit.

Perhaps if they didn’t have FIVE authors for this edition of the journal from the kremlin-affiliated Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations, and the moscow State Institute of International Relations, IISS wouldn’t have called Ukrainian territory RUSSIA.

(See my comment below for more on Primakov and MGIMO-University, where Andrey A. Sushentsov, one of the contributing authors to this edition of the journal, is named specifically.)

I hope this is regarded as a total credibility killer for The International Institute for Strategic Studies. There are no excuses whatsoever for this disinformation.

The only question is who is in bed with whom that IISS is disseminating kremlin lies.
