The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba criticized “absurd calls for abstract peace,” because those who call for such peace “mean something else”.

“We constantly hear absurd calls for abstract peace. Most of them don’t really mean peace, but something else. I will translate some of them from diplomatic language to the language of common sense,” he said.

According to Kuleba , in reality, they are proposing that russia keeps the stolen Ukrainian lands and continue killing, torturing, raping and intimidating people in the occupied territories.

“Others cynically claim that it is Ukraine that is ‘protracting’ the war. What they really mean is this: ‘Ukraine should surrender and allow russia to finish its genocide as soon as possible,’ he emphasized.

Kuleba noted that those who propose to stop sending weapons to Ukraine seek to leave Ukraine defenseless so that the russian Federation wins, in order to ‘quickly continue business as usual with russia.’

“After resisting russia’s full-scale aggression for more than a year and a half, my 40 million people can only answer all these proposals: ‘No!'”, the minister said.

According to him, the aggressor will be brought to justice, because this is the only way to restore a just and durable peace for Ukraine and respect for the UN Charter.
