The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury has officially eased sanctions against Belarus, allowing transactions involving Belinvestbank (Belarusian Bank of Development and Reconstruction) and certain other organizations.
The corresponding General License No. 14 has been published on the department’s website.
The US also lifted sanctions against the Ministry of Finance of Belarus and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, stating that “the circumstances no longer warrant” the previously imposed restrictions.
Additionally, the following companies have been removed from the US sanctions list:
- Belaruskali;
- Belarusian Potash Company;
- Agrorozkvit.
