On August 23, the Neptune cruise missile of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a particularly important ground target – the 48Y6-K1 “Podlet” air reconnaissance radar, which is a part of the S-400 “Triumph” anti-aircraft missile system, in occupied Crimea, Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of censor.net, reported.

“‘Podlet’ is the eyes of the ‘Triumph’, this radar provides surveillance of the airspace for both low-altitude targets and ballistic missiles, and is a key component of the air and missile defense of the russian Armed Forces.

According to sources, the intelligence of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received accurate information about the location of the russian radar near the village of Olenivka in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The radar provided control of the air situation over the western part of the Black Sea and over the territory of the Kherson region from a distance of approximately 110 km from the front line.
