Russian invaders have established at least 20 filtration camps and prisons within the temporarily occupied areas in Ukraine, Yevhenii Tsymbaliuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council was cited as saying by ukrinform.net.

“There are still many places where crimes do not stop. At least 20 filtration camps and prisons have been identified in the occupied territories,” Tsymbaliuk told. Tsymbaliuk recalled the Izolyatsia prison in Russian-occupied Donetsk: “We are very well aware of the horrors that are happening there”.

Hence, according to Tsymbaliuk, it is necessary to stop Russia from spreading this prison throughout Ukraine.

In addition, the Head of the Ukrainian mission to the OSCE spoke about cases of torture, gender violence, kidnapping, which became “part of the Russian policy of torturing of the inhabitants of the occupied territories of Ukraine”.

According to human right activists, Kherson Region and Zaporizhzhia Region are now among the leaders in terms of the number of abductions by the Russian military in Ukraine.
