The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take revenge for every killed or maimed Ukrainian soldier, commenting on the russian terrorist attack targeting a penal colony in the occupied Olenivka, where Ukrainian POWs were held
“russia is a terrorist state. The atrocities committed by the russians against our prisoners of war spark fury. We will avenge every dead or maimed brother-in-arms,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
He emphasized that, unlike russian war criminals, Ukraine adheres to the norms of international humanitarian law. “We will do everything possible – and impossible – to punish those guilty of crimes against our brothers- and sisters-in-arms, as well as civilians. These crimes have no statute of limitations. Beware, enemies, you will have no place to hide on this Earth,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
