The North Atlantic Treaty Organization [NATO] considers the operation conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine [SBU] against russian strategic aviation as exceptionally successful.
A senior NATO representative, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to European Pravda, characterized the operation as “the most successful” according to NATO’s independent assessments, which largely correspond with Ukrainian evaluations.We saw that at least 40 aircraft sustained damage. Between 10 and 13 aircraft have been completely destroyed, the representative stated.
“NATO identified 15 Tu-95 strategic bombers, 20 Tu-22 aircraft, and at least one A-50 radar detection aircraft – scarce in russian forces’ inventory – among the damaged assets,” he added.
The representative emphasized that this attack will have a critical impact on russian capabilities
