The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has warned that russia is spreading fakes through experts with a “neutral position.”

“The danger is that most readers see the scholar as an expert who provides unbiased information because he openly does not support either Western countries or russia,” the CCD said in a statement.

In one of examples, pretending to be ‘against everyone,’ US scientist Gordon Hahn resorts to manipulations and says that ‘the world must make concessions to putin,’ while ‘Ukrainian Nazis began to take off their masks under the pressure of war’, the CCD added.

According to the CCD, “the allegedly neutral position of world politicians and experts seems to be the most favorable for the kremlin. When the whole world does not trust open russian propaganda, ‘neutral’ experts create the illusion of impartiality of their judgments.”

However, any justification of russian aggression is the same as tacitly approving the mass murder of the Ukrainian population, the CCD said.
