Japan supports the establishment of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida said at the Peace Summit in Switzerland, ukrinform.ua reported.
“I see representatives of 100 countries and international organizations here today, and we are talking about peace for Ukraine. We are united here by one goal – we all hope that peace will be restored in Ukraine as soon as possible. This peace must be just and lasting, and it must be based on the principles of international law, including the UN Charter. Such peace should never justify a unilateral change of borders,” he emphasized.According to the Japanese Prime Minister, in order to realize a lasting and just peace in Ukraine, it is symbolically important that the entire world community directs its efforts towards this, and that we all cooperate and there is no division between us.
“Today it is Ukraine, and tomorrow it could be East Asia,” Kishida said.
