Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian Federation into Ukraine, the National Police has already received more than 93,000 phone calls from Ukrainians who were sexually abused by the russian invaders. Serhii Nizhynskyi, a public advisor to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, was cited as saying by ukr.radio.

He assured that Ukraine is doing everything possible to record these crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice. In particular, the Prosecutor General’s Office verified and referred more than 200 cases to court.

“There are 93 thousand calls that are verified by the National Police and that are transferred and sent to the relevant centers for helping survivors. There is a public hotline “La Strada” organization, which systematizes these crimes,” Nizhynskyi said.

Crimes of sexual violence have no statute of limitations, he added.
