OSCE pressures

The Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), Ambassador Heidi Grau, wants only representatives of the russian side to be present at the CADLR (certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine) political subgroup, the representative of CADLR from the Ukrainian side in TCG Sergiy Garmash said, prm.ua reported.

According to him, Heidi Grau pressured the members of the Ukrainian delegation. “Unfortunately, the work of the political subgroup remains blocked. Yesterday, in my opinion, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office put unacceptable pressure on our delegation to ensure that representatives of CADLR from the Ukrainian side, were not present at the negotiations of the political subgroup. She wanted CADLR only to be represented only by the russian side. Our delegation does not agree to this,” Garmash explained.

He stressed that according to Heidi Grau, the presence of the Ukrainian side at the meetings of the subgroup is blocking the negotiation process. “But it is interesting that she did not ask the other party to remove Maya Pirogova, convicted of terrorism in Ukraine, and thus unblock the work of the political subgroup,” he added.
