Several European Union countries, aside from Hungary, voted for watering down the eighth package of sanctions against russia.

“Hungary normally gets the blame [and rightly so] when it comes to watering down the EU’s russia sanctions, but for this package honorable mentions – Cyprus, Malta, Belgium and Greece,” the journalist with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Rikard Jozvyak said in a post on Twitter.

“Budapest is really learning from the best in Brussels,” he addded.
