A fire at a Czech weapons facility poses no threat to the supply of drones destined for Ukraine, the organizer of a key fundraising effort has confirmed to ukrinform.ua.
“The company’s owners have confirmed to us that the delivery of drones from the fundraiser, which we are closing on Sunday, is not in jeopardy,” Martin Ondráček, leader of the “Dárek pro putina” (Gift for putin) initiative, said.
The campaign successfully collected 25 million korunas from over 6,250 Czech citizens to purchase 25 “Divoká svině” (Wild Boar) strike drones.
The MTS 40 drones, manufactured by the Czech company LPP, utilize a unique optical navigation system that requires no GPS or remote control during flight to the target and have a range of 600 kilometers.
