More sanctions are needed to stop russia from profiting from oil and gas. Countries that continue to buy russian fossil fuels should only pay the production price, the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in a comment for telegraph.co.uk.

russia must be stopped from using its shadow fleet of tankers, Poroshenko said in a statement. It is intolerable that russians went from selling less than 3m oil barrels in November to more than 9m last month, he added.

Sanctions should also target russia’s liquefied natural gas, and block the Druzhba oil pipeline, Poroshenko said.
