russia’s crimes in Ukraine show signs of genocide, and those responsible for starting the war must be punished at international tribunals, President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, said.

“Kyiv, like all of Ukraine, has become a symbol of protection of our common values, freedom, sovereignty and democracy. For a week now, Ukraine has been resisting the occupiers, paying the highest price. Attacks on houses, schools and hospitals, and numerous attacks by russian troops show signs of genocide. I believe that they will not go unpunished, and their perpetrators will be held accountable at international tribunals,” President of Poland Andrzej Duda said in a video address to the Polish people, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We are Ukraine’s advocate in its efforts to become a member of the EU,” Duda said.
