A total of 188 people, among them 122 civilians, including five children, have been killed in the Kharkiv region over the nine days of russian aggression.

The communications department of the Kharkiv Region Police reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“As of 18:00 on March 4, 188 people were killed in artillery shelling and hostilities, including 122 civilians, among them five children,” the statement said.

Since February 24, 35 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, four police officers, six National Guard servicemen, four employees of the State Border Guard Service, two employees of Kharkiv National Air Force University, an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, and 14 territorial defense fighters have died, defending the Kharkiv region from the attack of the enemy troops.

Some 394 people, including 290 civilians, were wounded in artillery shelling.

Police also said that 19 criminals have been detained since the russian invasion began in the Kharkiv region, among them 12 russian servicemen, two accomplices of sabotage groups, one person suspected of premeditated murder, and four suspects in property crimes and crimes related to the illegal handling of weapons.
