Ukrainians develop electric multi-role armored vehicle
Ukrainians have developed the world’s first hybrid multifunctional armored vehicle STORM, which can stay afloat and can withstand a wave of 1.5m. The prototype began to be developed in Kyiv two years ago, but due to a lack of funds and technical capabilities, the enthusiasts were unable to create a full-fledged model.
Then the Ukrainians approached the defense company Streit Group with a proposal for a partnership and in five months they assembled the first prototype of the vehicle under the leadership of the Candidate of Technical Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Kuznetsov,
All STORM vehicles can be configured with remote control systems allowing for autonomous operations. Additional equipment is planned to allow underwater operation. As for weapons, the vehicle can carry a machine gun, an anti-tank system or the Ukrainian fighting module “Sarmat” produced by the Design Bureau “Luch”.
