The protests in Hong Kong, that began with the outrage over the extradition bill, later escalated to resist Chinese pressure in the region. They have been ongoing for about eight months now and have become more fierce lately. The protesters erect barricades and fight police with Molotov cocktails, cobblestone stones, and arrows.
