On the sixth anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, several events were held in Kyiv, but one of them was dedicated to another revolution, which is taking place 7,600 kilometers away from the capital of Ukraine – in Hong Kong.
Activists say the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is trying to counter the movement in support of Hong Kong in Ukraine.
The protests in Hong Kong, that began with the outrage over the extradition bill, later escalated to resist Chinese pressure in the region. They have been ongoing for about eight months now and have become more fierce lately. The protesters erect barricades and fight police with Molotov cocktails, cobblestone stones, and arrows.
