Ukraine’s grain export is up by 36%

Since the July 1 start of the marketing year, Ukraine has exported 15 million tons of grain, 36% more than during the same period last year, ubn reports.

Similarly, oilseed exports are up by 66% during the same period, to 3 million tons, according to Ukraine’s Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Last week, Dmitry Sologub, a deputy central bank governor, predicted the overall grain harvest could hit 80 million tons this year, up 14% over last year’s record 70 million tons.
