Ukraine will provide UAH 6.9 billion to support farmers

The state budget of Ukraine will provide UAH 6.9 billion (about $240 million) in support of the domestic farmers, reports Ukrinform.

“The Government introduces the farmers’ support programs so that our agriculture could develop as efficiently as possible. We budget UAH 6.9 billion for such programs,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman posted on Facebook.

In his opinion, it is necessary to support Ukrainian agrarians as they form a significant part of Ukraine’s GDP.
