Ukraine may demand that russia be disconnected from the international payment network SWIFT if there is no progress in the negotiation process on Donbas by the end of the year, the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kravchuk said.

“If we cannot reach an agreement with russia politically and diplomatically, we must do everything we can to force it to stop its aggression and restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity through joint pressure from the world community and Ukraine. And we will find ways to pressure them,” Kravchuk said.

“I think that the beginning of the next year will be the beginning of a new standard of our understanding of the situation, our search for new influences, and our proposals for pressure on the aggressor,” Kravchuk said.
