Ukraine, Brazil discussed strategic cooperation in military, technical, and defense sectors

Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Ihor Zhovkva met with a Brazilian delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister of Brazil Marcos Rosas Degaut Pontes on December 3, Ukrinform reported.

The parties discussed strategic cooperation between the two countries in the military, technical, and defense sectors. They also identified promising bilateral projects in the field of military-technical cooperation, as well as in the aerospace industry.

“Ukraine and Brazil have their own highly developed technologies and operate in third-country markets. I am convinced that by joint efforts we will be able to increase our competitive advantages in foreign markets,” Zhovkva stressed.

He noted that the first dialogue on the defense industry between Ukraine and Brazil, which took place following the agreements between the Presidents of Ukraine and Brazil, has become a unique interstate format, which, among other things, allows establishing direct links not only between state-owned enterprises but also between private companies in this area.
