Turkey’s Baykar Makina purchased a plot of land and developed a project for a Bayraktar UAV production plant, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar said this in an interview with rbc.ua.

“The plant will be built. A week ago, the government approved a bilateral agreement and sent it to the parliament for ratification – the agreement on the construction of the plant itself,” Bodnar said.

The diplomat noted that Baykar Makina had set up its company in Ukraine. “A significant part of the models that will be produced at this plant will have Ukrainian-made components. These can be engines, other spare parts, wheels, many different things that are high-tech in our country and can be used for these aircraft,” Bodnar said.
