The United Arab Emirates has announced its intention to buy a stake in Ukrainian defense tech company Fire Point. The arms manufacturer has been valued at USD 2.5 billion, bbc.com.
BBC News Ukraine learned this from confidential sources within the company who are familiar with the details of the deal. According to sources, the EDGE defense group, owned by the sovereign wealth fund of the United Arab Emirates, plans to acquire a minority stake in the Ukrainian company.
According to sources, 30% of the company’s shares will be sold as part of the deal. The deal is valued at USD 760 million.
