Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhiy Haidai says that the city of Sievierodonetsk is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.

He reminds us that since the end of February, the russian invaders have been shelling critical infrastructure facilities, destroying them almost completely.

“They will not be able to repair anything. Treatment plants and pumping stations do not work. Sewage accumulates,” Haidai says.

“There is also a stench of dead bodies – those who were buried in yards, and many remain in apartments and entrances, such as in an apartment block in a new neighborhood. Sievierodonetsk is facing a humanitarian disaster,” the governor stresses.

Haidai adds that around 80 percent of residential buildings in the occupied Sievierodonetsk have been destroyed or damaged, and russian invaders continue looting locals’ homes.
