Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office reported that as of 6:00 p.m., 51 people were known to have died.

“According to the investigators, russians attacked Poltava with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles. The enemy targeted an educational institution and a hospital. One of the buildings of the Institute of Communications, a hospital and nearby houses were partially destroyed,” the message reads.

The press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Khorunzhy, said that the number of injured had increased to 271. Rescuers unblocked 11 people from under the rubble, search and rescue operations are ongoing.
