A graduate of the so-called military-patriotic club “Youth of Novorossia” of the Patriotic Association of Donbas, Andriy a.k.a. “Cerberus”, was killed while performing the combat missions of the occupiers. On April 15, the boy was buried.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova wrote this on Telegram with reference to the data received from partner human rights organizations working in the temporarily occupied Donbas.

The so-called military-patriotic club “Youth of Novorossia”, formed on November 2, 2014, is located in the city of Molodohvardiysk, Luhansk region. The club teaches children from 10 to 18 years old the disciplines of military training, physical training, medicine, history, and tactics.

Denisova noted that more than 90 children, most of whom are orphans and children in difficult life circumstances, are club members.

The Commissioner emphasized that by promoting the conscription of the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories into its army, russia flagrantly violates the laws and customs of war under the Geneva Convention and the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict.

Denisova calls on the UN Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine to take into account russia’s violations of children’s rights in Ukraine.

As reported earlier, russians deported 500,000 Ukrainians, including 121,000 children from Ukraine.
