russia struck a UNICEF warehouse: more than 106,000 units of humanitarian cargo for Ukrainian children destroyed

Shocked by yet another cynical crime by russia. This time, an enemy strike hit a UNICEF warehouse where humanitarian aid for Ukrainian children and families affected by the war was stored. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

“The aggressor state has delivered yet another blow—not only to civilian infrastructure, but also to the international humanitarian mission that saves lives every day. More than 106,000 units of humanitarian cargo worth nearly $3.9 million were destroyed—generators, drinking water, hygiene kits, and other critically important supplies,” Lubinets said.

According to him, russia continues to kill children and destroy humanitarian infrastructure. “Only last week, according to UNICEF, two children were killed, and at least 50 others were injured. In June, the largest death toll of children since 2022 was recorded over the course of a month: 7 children died, and 116 were injured.”

“Once again, I emphasize: attacks on humanitarian facilities and humanitarian workers are a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. When those who deliver aid to children and civilians are targeted, russia attacks not only infrastructure, but the very ability to save lives. For every such crime, the aggressor state must be held accountable,” Lubinets said.
