The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has recognized russia as a terrorist state and is now calling on other nations to make the same step, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, was cited as saying by ukrinform.net.

“With this act, we recognized russia as a terrorist state. The goal of the russian political regime is the genocide of the Ukrainian people, physical annihilation, mass murders of Ukrainians, and commission of international crimes against the civilian population,” said the Rada Speaker.

He recalled that the decision to recognize russia as a terrorist state was adopted back on May 22, 2022, at the level of Law “Proposal of the President of Ukraine to the Law ‘On Prohibition of Propaganda of the russian Nazi Totalitarian Regime, Armed Aggression against Ukraine of the russian Federation as a Terrorist State, Symbols of Military Invasion of Ukraine by the russian Nazi totalitarian regime.’”

Stefanchuk emphasized Ukraine’s appeal to other countries to also recognize the obvious fact: russia is a terrorist state, and the consequence of the move will be russia’s international isolation.

“This is exactly the kind of future that a country that’s trying to impose on the world its ‘imperial dreams,’ using missiles and murders, should face. And now they are resorting to nuclear terrorism,” Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
