“No limit” friendship with russia is nothing but rhetoric, Chinese diplomat says

China was not on russia’s side in the war against Ukraine, China’s Ambassador to the European Union, Fu Cong, said in an interview with nytimes.com.
The ambassador, commenting on “no limit” friendship statement between russia and China, which was signed three weeks before russia’s invasion, said that people misinterpret this. “‘No limit’ is nothing but rhetoric,” he added.
He noted that China doesn’t recognize russia’ efforts to annex Ukrainian territories.
