Nike has introduced a new sneaker made in collaboration with Rassvet, a label created by russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, who has previously voiced support for russia’s annexation of Crimea, united24media.com reoprted.
Rassvet — which translates to “sunrise” in russian — operates out of Paris. Founded in 2016 by Rubchinskiy alongside russian skateboarder Tolia Titaev, the label produces skatewear, footwear, and skateboards.
Rubchinskiy has said the brand’s name expresses his wish to highlight and find beauty in russian culture. The designer publicly supported russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea.
