Ukraine’s law enforcement officers have exposed the serviceman of the National Guard of russia, Rosgvardiya, who brutally mocked the residents of Hostomel, Kyiv region, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova said in a post on Facebook.

According to Venediktova, the name of this occupant is Andrey Khitrov, and he is a serviceman of the combined unit of the National Guard in the Kemerovo region of the russian Federation.

“Prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, together with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), have evidence that Khitrov, along with other russian servicemen, in March 2022 in the occupied Hostomel harassed the residents of the village with illegal searches. In search of Ukrainian defenders and law enforcement officers, the invaders broke out windows and doors.

During one of the searches, the occupants threatened civilians with weapons. The bullying came to the point that they forced people to strip down completely. After that, people were kept in the basement. The captives were beaten with butts of weapons on their ribs and legs, threatened with guns and simulated execution,” the message says. Venedictova added that the invaders also starved people with hunger and thirst.

Khitrov was informed that he is suspected of mistreating the civilians, which is a violation of the laws and customs of war, the statement says.

In early April, Hostomel, Irpin, Bucha, and the entire Kyiv region were liberated from russian occupants. Mass killings of civilians by the invaders were exposed in the liberated towns and villages.
