The search investigations took place from October 2 to 16. The work was carried out by the municipal enterprise Dolia, which received the relevant permit from the Polish side on August 31, 2026.
Historical background
According to various historical accounts, more than 300 people were killed during the mass murder of Ukrainians in Łasków on March 10, 1944. Research by historians and experts from Ukraine and Poland has documented 327 Łasków residents who died in 1944. Some historians, however, cite a higher death toll — around 350 people.
