Sergiy Stakhovsky, former Ukrainian No. 1 tennis player in Ukraine, multiple Grand Slam, Davis Cup and Olympics participant, reacted to reports that US President Donald Trump might halt all military aid to Ukraine, nv.ua reported.

“Dear Americans, your past government gave my country’s past government signed assurances about integrity and safety of Ukrainian territory and its borders, in return we surrended THIRD BIGGEST nuclear arsenal in the WORLD,” Stakhovsky wrote.

“I am personally extremely grateful to the American people for their support. But if your government doesn’t want to honor the agreement, just say so. Don’t make it look like it’s our fault that we are fighting for our freedom,” he added.
