Dove of peace made from fragments of damaged church in Kyiv was presented to Cardinal from Vatican

Ukrainian artist Yama Targonya made a symbolic dove of peace with blue-yellow decoration on fragments of stained glass of the Church of St. Nicholas in Kyiv and presented it to Cardinal Konrad Krajewski from the Vatican, rkc.org.ua reported.
The parish priest, Pavlo Vyshkovsky, spoke about the consequences for the church caused by the russian missile strike on the capital. “As we can see, nothing is sacred for our enemy. Last Friday morning became tragic for us, because our church is already suffering from destruction.
During these days, parishioners have removed the stained glass and regular glass, damaged by the blast wave, with their own efforts, and have already glazed the rose window and windows in the towers with polycarbonate at their own expense, and have hired a company to remove the hanging parts of the stained glass in order to preserve it and restore it in the future.”
