Ukrainian private companies exported over 11.2 million cubic meters of gaseous biomethane of their own production in 2025, according to ExPro estimates.
Ukraine did not export any biomethane until February 2025, when Vitagro, a Ukrainian company, exported 67,500 cubic meters of its own production through the gas transmission system to Slovakia.
In 2025, three Ukrainian companies exported gaseous biomethane. The largest volume was shipped by MHP Holding—approximately 8.7 million cubic meters, or 77% of total exports. Vitagro Group exported about 2.5 million cubic meters, while Hals Agro made a single shipment of over 75,000 cubic meters.
In addition, two companies exported liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG) in 2025. MHP shipped over 5,000 tons via tanker trucks to Europe, while YM Liquid Gas exported nearly 900 tons.
